How much do you agree with the idea of Thanos in Infinity War?
Nowadays, fans are obsessed with Marvel’s Avengers team-ups and characters – not just the main protagonists but also the supporting characters like Nebula, Vision and Captain America. They also love playing games such as Destiny 2 and Apex Legends and recently have started to follow other famous athletes across different parts of the world. Fans are excited by all these sports stars and their unique abilities and personalities. However, now they are getting bored. Thanos is one of them because he is no longer a part of the Marvel Universe; instead it has become his own universe. He does not seem so powerful to play anymore. And it seems that more people than ever before are starting to lose interest in this character, which may be the end of Marvel’s superhero genre. Let's take some time to discuss why Thanos is so bad in the first place and find out what makes him the worst villain in series 6 (you don't need to read my essay here if you already know).
Thanos takes up space
First of all, let's start with how much space Thanos occupies. This means that whatever is happening around him cannot influence him. For instance, we can only imagine his presence on Earth. I imagine that when Thanos uses the Gauntlet in Infinity War, he will probably occupy half of the Earth’s surface. But, even more important than this fact, we cannot exclude his presence from above or at any point below the Earth. If someone were to move from his surroundings, they might experience certain emotions, including joy and sadness. As long as there is another person who is moving from his vicinity, nothing else will happen to Thanos. We can say that a moving stone never stops moving even if its position changes! So, no matter the place he occupies, anything that happens within the surrounding area is completely unaffected by him, which makes him much cooler than usual. Thanos isn't good in combat
So what, then, makes Thanos such a terrible antagonist for a comic book fan such as myself? Well, firstly, lets look at him more closely. As a fighter, he is very intelligent and experienced in various situations. Although in reality he is a coward. A few years ago he was a hero. Then he became a monster. And then came infinity stones. As a result, he suffered from various types of mental illness. Also, he had a personality disorder. Even though his name sounds really scary, I don't think we should consider his past actions in terms of being evil, psychotic, etc. That is what brings the worst trait of all his attributes together. It would seem that Thanos has some real weaknesses. Maybe it is because of his self-consciousness and being unable to cope with his own capabilities. In short, the best thing about Thanos is that it is pretty boring in his combat skills. But as I said previously, the character doesn't appear in any of the films or TV shows he appears in (except for the movie). I suppose the biggest problem with that particular attribute is, it causes the most problems with Thanos' overall ability to make fun. All in all, I have to admit that Thanos is a pretty effective villain. Here is a list of all his greatest qualities, as well as his weaknesses.
Thanos likes power, responsibility, science, technology, and history. These two traits are almost impossible to argue otherwise with anyone. People who are aware of his background can tell that these traits are completely meaningless for an ordinary person, while those who don't know his history and background have to face a lot of trouble understanding his motives. Not only did he show great strength in his body but also showed his intelligence, talent, and professionalism. The same goes for the science and technology department he represents. Because of the use of black holes we should also mention that he is able to generate any kind of energy. I don't know if this is possible on earth, but I know that it is on superhumans and other universes. On top of this ability, we have his commitment to history; he can go back and see events in life that happened thousands of years ago, or hundreds of millions of years. So, it is obvious that Thanos deserves a spot on every list of villains. What else could we say? Of course, his popularity among both the MCU and DC audience has caused him to earn credit with various superheroes and supervillains. Also, he loves having a personal identity, for example Superman, which is completely unrelated. Thanos can fly and drive cars on wheels. Besides these abilities, he is capable of using weapons such as guns and swords. It is also worth mentioning that, unlike many villains, he doesn't take pleasure in killing anybody! Another notable aspect of his personality is that he's rather shy; we can hardly see this trait in a normal person. Overall, it seems that Thanos is a perfect hero; however, I'm afraid he won't last long on the series.
Thanos and his teammates
The rest of the heroes include Spiderman, Thor, Black Widow, Iron Man, Luke Skywalker, Star Wars, Marvel's main cast. Each of them possess several characteristics common in the regular human population. First of all, Marvel's superhero team-up consists of four primary team members. Two of them – Marvel's Hulk and the Dark Avengers – each of them can fight against Thanos. Of course, apart from the regular humans from the Marvel Universe, the new universe includes plenty of superheroes. Among them are Wolverine, Blade, Rogue, Colossus, Silver Surfer, Nova, Venom, Wanda Maximoff, and others. All these characters have similar motivations – they want to save the planet, defeat Thanos and stop the threat created by him. One way to fight against his powers is through the formation of teams where the heroes cooperate to defeat him and the latter team makes sure he never finds any weakness. Otherwise, Thanos can simply transform himself as something he wants to be. Some of them may have chosen to take care of other heroes while others stay behind to protect a secret plan. Still, despite these similarities between the characters involved, not all of them are ready to work together. There are a smaller group of superheroes who try to prevent him from becoming too strong, like X-Men. Others fight back, maybe due to fear of destroying his reputation.
Thanos vs Hawkeye
The story of Steve Rogers and his daughter Natasha Romanova begins with the revelation that Thanos will eventually be killed in Marvel's next installment in series six. After multiple attempts to save her and make it look like she has perished in war, Natasha and Steve begin investigating the mysterious death of the Scarlet Witch. At the beginning of this process, she tells Steve about the strange happenings on Blackhawk Island; he asks whether she found out any clues. Natasha replies "no", and later asks him to ask around and ask relevant questions. To do this, he will have to travel, to visit various locations on the island, gather information that may help him solve the mystery surrounding Death Star. When Steve gets back to London, he meets Dr. Moondust, who is not present at the office of Natasha. She continues working. Meanwhile, Steve goes to meet Thors mother in Brighton. She reveals to Steve that there is a dark entity named Soul, which possesses bodies of numerous mutants. Thors mother tries to communicate with her son, but since there is nothing to talk about, he returns home. Upon returning to the city, Matt discovers a plaque placed on a pillar reading, 'Thanos', pointing down towards his father. Matt investigates further and comes upon Thanos. As soon as he sees the text, he realizes that it must be Thanos, as he says "it has your signature, yours, and mine. Can you believe it?" Matt realizes that he should be prepared for this encounter too; he needs to be careful, as everything is extremely complicated in this situation.
Thanos vs Armor
One of the greatest complaints about Thanos is that he is not a good defender. He can be overpowered as easily as physical force. Yes, you heard me right. The best defense against Thanos is his suit – the blue armor that everyone is talking about. He is able to attack and protect himself. The strongest way to defend against him is with his armor. Also, the reason the armor exists as a weapon is quite simple – it is made of metal and is powered by electricity. Such a armor is known as the gauntlet, and it is the most powerful weapon against Thanos. Before being able to create the gauntlet, he needs to be defeated by him. Otherwise, no one will dare to take him on, and he will continue growing stronger. It is unclear how much difficulty Thanos has in creating the gauntlet, but it appears as one of his greatest strengths in the series.
Thanos vs Mantis
In season six, Thanos and Mantis team up to destroy the legendary mutant named Krax the Destroyer, which threatens to kill the entire Marvel Universe. During the battle, both the sides experience difficulties to reach true harmony, and a massive storm occurs. While they are fighting under extreme circumstances, Thanos and Mantis are forced to keep an extremely close eye on each other. Perhaps this is because there is something inside the storm that they share, it is clear that they both care about each other (in some sense). Whatever the case is, there are still a number of reasons to believe that their relationship is pretty awkward. One of them is that the former doesn't show enough concern for the living organism. Second, they are constantly looking for ways to get away from each other. Third, that there isn't any concrete explanation why they are so far apart. Fourth, the question has to be asked
